As Taiwan enters an ultra-aged society, the average life expectancy is increasing, and the phase where individuals lose the ability to care for themselves, also known as unhealthy life expectancy, is growing longer. For elderly individuals who rely solely on others for care, this is not a sustainable solution and may actually accelerate their decline. We advocate for the Seniors' Independence Declaration, which supports elderly individuals with various assistive products to help them achieve the following three key goals:
1.To stand up independently, without needing assistance.
2.To perform basic functions such as eating, dressing, and daily living on their own, without help.
3.To lead an independent, self-sufficient, and autonomous life.
We hope the Seniors' Independence Declaration becomes a life motto for every senior, allowing them to live with greater autonomy and dignity!
