Easing of the Pandemic vs Lifestyle Changes

The COVID-19 pandemic, which began in 2019, wreaked havoc worldwide, and in May of this year, Taiwan entered a level 3 alert. During the pandemic, our daily lives, including eating habits, transportation, social interactions, work styles, and medical services, were significantly impacted, even leading to direct changes in lifestyle habits.

Fortunately, thanks to the collective efforts in pandemic prevention and the ongoing mass vaccination campaign, the situation has gradually been brought under control since the downgrade in late July…

However, as we step into the post-pandemic era, what will life be like? Will the changes we’ve experienced during this period be reversible?

 
Social Distance ⇨ Healthy "Heart" Distance

Looking back over the past year, the "social distancing" we diligently adhered to in our efforts to prevent the spread of the pandemic has impacted various aspects of our lives. For example, unable to dine out, many of us became accustomed to cooking at home; with gyms closed, home workouts became the norm; and concerns about contact with others led to mental stress…

So, what about after the pandemic? As people begin to step out of their homes and restart social interactions, should the concept of "social distance" be redefined?

We aim to explore the changes in different aspects of life and paint a picture of life in the post-pandemic era. Here, we outline five new lifestyle guidelines to say goodbye to the pandemic and embrace a healthier "heart" distance.
 

Healthy Eating Guidelines
The pandemic has made us accustomed to eating at home, rediscovering the joy of cooking ourselves. We’ve distanced ourselves from greasy takeout and experienced once again the wonderful benefits that healthy food brings to the body. Eating simply, conveniently, and healthily has become one of life’s greatest pleasures!  
運動強身指引
總算可以出門透透氣了!疫情讓人們更加體認到健康的重要性。疫情過後,無論是出門走走,或在家中,都要維持運動習慣,替身體打下強健的根基。  
社交人際指引
誰也沒想到,因為防疫的需求,讓遠距工作、在家上課、視訊醫療,都在你我身邊實現了。無論是透過手機視訊關懷家人、或是朋友間的連線打屁,這些遠端互動已是大家可以接受的新模式。

這一年來大家習慣了戴口罩、噴酒精,未來新冠肺炎或許逐漸『流感化』,除了接種疫苗,全身由上而下、出門在外或待在家中,打造全方位病毒防護罩,已是生活中不可或缺的一環。  
 

心靈療癒指引
疫情讓大家生活變得緊繃,不敢接觸人群、害怕社交互動、經濟壓力變大,導致心理狀態失衡。疫情過後,必須找方法釋放壓力、洗滌身心,好好療癒心靈,重新建構『健康心距離』。
