Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2019, it has ravaged the globe. In May of last year, Taiwan entered a Level 3 alert. During the pandemic, various aspects of our daily lives, including eating habits, transportation, social interactions, work patterns, and medical services, were significantly impacted, even leading to direct changes in lifestyle.
Although, thanks to the nationwide effort to control the virus and the large-scale vaccination campaign, Taiwan successfully lowered the alert to Level 2 in July, the recent surge of the Omicron variant has led to a worsening of the situation.
In the face of the rampant new variants, discussions about how to coexist with the pandemic have begun. What will life look like moving forward? Can we return to how things were before the pandemic?
Looking back at the past year or two, the "social distancing" that everyone followed to fight the pandemic has impacted various aspects of life. For example, being unable to go out for food led to cooking at home; gyms were closed, so home workouts became the new norm; concerns about physical contact increased psychological stress...
If we truly have to coexist with the pandemic moving forward, people will begin to step out of their homes and re-engage with each other. Does this mean that the concept of "social distance" should be redefined?
We aim to explore the changes brought about by the pandemic from various aspects of life, painting a picture of how life has been affected. Through this, we suggest a healthy "heart" distance, offering five essential lifestyle tips for pandemic prevention!

Eating simple, convenient, and healthy meals is one of life’s simplest yet most fulfilling pleasures! |

Exercise and Strengthening Guidelines

The pandemic has heightened awareness of the importance of health. In facing it, whether by going out for a walk or exercising at home, maintaining a regular workout routine is essential to building a strong foundation for your body. |

Social and Interpersonal Guidelines
|
No one could have predicted that the need for pandemic prevention would bring remote work, online classes, and telemedicine into our daily lives. Whether it’s video calling family for some care and connection or chatting with friends online, these remote interactions have become a widely accepted new normal. |

Virus Protection Guidelines
|
Over the past couple of years, wearing masks and using alcohol sprays have become routine. As COVID-19 gradually transitions into an "endemic-like flu," vaccinations remain essential. Whether heading out or staying at home, building a comprehensive virus protection shield from head to toe has become an indispensable part of daily life. |

|
Mental Healing Guidelines
|
The pandemic has made life more stressful, with people avoiding crowds, fearing social interactions, and dealing with increased financial pressures, leading to emotional imbalances. Post-pandemic, it’s essential to find ways to release stress, rejuvenate the mind and body, and heal the soul. Rebuilding a "healthy emotional distance" is the key to moving forward with resilience and positivity. |
