• Why does an uncomfortable gut lead to illness? As a professional gastroenterologist and author of this book,李松珠 Lee Songju explains that the gut is not only responsible for digestion and absorption but also controls immune function and detoxification, crucial for sustaining life and bodily functions. However, modern lifestyles influenced by diet, environment, and stress accumulate toxins in the body, causing damage and relaxation of the thick intestinal mucosa. This imbalance results in more harmful bacteria than beneficial ones, diminishing digestive and absorptive functions, and reducing immune and detoxification capabilities, leading the body into a vicious cycle of increasing weakness.
• How can the "Gut Repair Plan" detoxify and treat diseases? The basic program spans 3 weeks, with the initial three days being crucial. Starting from the fourth day, it's recommended to substitute one meal per day with liquid food to initiate detoxification and increase beneficial bacteria. For those aiming to improve illnesses, a three-month commitment is ideal. Key points include:
〔1〕Liquid Meals: Utilize six major detoxifying foods such as cabbage and carrots to cleanse the intestines.
〔2〕 Increase Beneficial Bacteria, Reduce Harmful Bacteria: Supplement probiotics timely and take probiotic supplements to decrease harmful bacteria.
〔3〕 Cultivate Gut-Healthy Habits: Learn stress management techniques, ensure good sleep, and incorporate regular exercise.
Starting today, protect your gut, cultivate beneficial bacteria, and eat your way to better health!

Author Biography
Author:
李松珠Lee Songju Inspired by reading the story of Albert Schweitzer as a child, Lee Songju aspired to become a physician and pursued this dream by entering medical school. During her medical studies, she was diligent and committed, even volunteering abroad annually. During her internship, she served as a medical volunteer at the Kaesong Industrial Complex in North Korea. As a resident in internal medicine, she continued to engage in overseas humanitarian medical work, demonstrating a strong commitment to humanitarian healthcare.
After meeting her husband, who works for the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Lee dreamed of volunteering abroad together. However, with the birth of their daughter, she found it challenging to balance her aspirations and family responsibilities, ultimately struggling with postpartum weight. Feeling as though she had lost sight of her dreams and was leading a mundane life, she one day successfully lost weight through a gut repair plan and regained her health. This experience sparked her interest in functional medicine, nutritional therapy, constitutional medicine, and applied kinesiology.
Currently, Lee runs an internal medicine clinic, using functional medicine to treat "sub-health" patients suffering from unexplained symptoms. She provides diagnosis, treatment, and care services, dedicated to helping people regain their health.
